Deviled Shrimp Skewers

These deviled shrimp skewers are a must for grilling season. You’ll love the fiery deviled sauce combined with the garlic parsley butter!

Ingredients

½ cup butter melted
½ cup parsley finely chopped
¼ cup garlic chopped
2.2 pounds Mexican shrimp

1 cup guacamole for serving
lemon cut in half, for serving

Deviled Sauce Ingredients:

¼ cup butter
¼ cup olive oil
½ piece white onion roasted
5 pieces chipotle chile soaked in hot water
2 pieces guajillo chile soaked in hot water
5 pieces árbol chile soaked in hot water
5 cloves garlic roasted
½ cup ketchup
½ cup lime
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper

Directions

1. For the deviled sauce: In a blender, combine, butter, roasted onion, chipotle chile, guajillo chile, árbol chile, garlic, ketchup, lime juice, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth and set aside.
2. For the garlic parsley butter: In a bowl, mix melted butter, parsley, and garlic. Set aside.
3. Thread shrimp onto skewers. Brush with deviled sauce and set aside.
4. Preheat grill 45 minutes before using. Once hot, grill shrimp skewers over direct heat for 3 minutes per side. Brush with garlic parsley butter and set aside.
5. Serve deviled shrimp skewers with guacamole and lemon wedges on the side.
