Chipotle BBQ Pork Ribs

The perfect option for grilling season. Our chipotle barbecue pork ribs will add a kick to your backyard party. Sure, it takes a bit of time to prepare, but you can be sure that it’s worth every minute.

Ingredients

Rub
• 1 ½ cup of paprika
• 1 tbsp. salt
• 1 ½ tbsp. garlic powder
• ½ tbsp. black pepper
• 1 tbsp. onion powder
• ½ tbsp. cayenne pepper
• ½ tsp. dry thyme
• ½ tsp. oregano

Ribs
• 5 lbs. of Pork Ribs
• 1 (12) bottle of dark beer

Chipotle BBQ Sauce
• 1 ¼ cup mashed tomato
• 1 can of chipotle adobo sauce
• 1 large onion, diced
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tbsp. tomato paste
• 2 tbsp. brown sugar
• ½ cup white vinegar
• 1 tsp sugar
• 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tbsp. tabasco hot sauce
• ½ tbsp. salt
• black pepper

Directions

1. Combine all run ingredients n a bowl, then set aside. Preheat oven to 325 F.
2. Dry ribs with absorbent paper towels, then apply rub to all the ribs. Cover the refrigerated seasoned ribs for at least 2 hours.
3. Remove ribs from the refrigerator and place them in a deep baking dish. Pour in dark beer and cover dish with lid or aluminum foil. Place ribs in oven for 1 hour.
4. Mix BBQ sauce ingredients and set aside.
5. Remove ribs from the oven and remove aluminum foil. Add BBQ sauce to ribs and place in the oven once more, without covering them.
6. Leave in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour, flipping them twice, until the meat is at desired doneness and the sauce is sticky.
7. Finish off ribs by grilling them for 5-10 minutes. Serve ribs with cilantro and lime.
