Fish Aguachile Tostadas

A tantalizing symphony of flavors and textures, this traditional Mexican dish for Cuaresma features succulent slices of halibut bathed in a zesty, citrusy marinade. A true celebration of freshness, this aguachile is a culinary adventure that will transport your taste buds straight to the sun-kissed shores of Mexico!


1 cup Celery
1 cup Cucumber
2 Serrano Chiles
½ cup Cilantro
½ cup Lime juice
¼ cup Water
1 lb. Halibut (cut into cubes)
Northgate® homemade tostadas
Red onion (thinly sliced)
Avocado (sliced)
Árbol chile (crushed)


1. In a blender, combine celery, cucumber, Serrano chile, cilantro, water, salt, and pepper, and blend until smooth.
2. On a platter, arrange halibut and spoon blended mixture over. Garnish with red onion, avocado, and árbol chile. Let sit for 10 minutes.
3. Evenly mound fish aguachile on each Northgate® homemade tostada and pair with a refreshing drink.
