Sope de Chicharrón

The key to a perfect sope is achieving a balance of textures and flavors, making it a delicious and satisfying meal. Follow this recipe to satisfy your taste buds!


3 yellow corn sope shell
3 oz refried beans
9 oz chicharron Prensado
3 oz Queso Cotija
3 tablespoons of salsa verde
3 tablespoons of sour cream
6 oz shredded iceberg lettuce
3 oz red onions


1. Heat oil in a comal or griddle on medium. Fry sope in oil for about 3 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.
2. Remove sope from griddle and spread refried beans and chicharron prensado on top.
3. Serve sope with minced lettuce, red onion, cotija cheese, 1 tbsp of sour cream, and green salsa.
